The economic environment in the US continues to show a stable consumer, rebounding investment, and supportive fiscal policy. The lone detractor from growth is the continuing drag from net exports, but this is
merely an accounting identity. A high level of imports of consumer goods and services indicates a healthy economy. This drag on the GDP growth rate is not expected to reverse since a strong consumer will continue to spend.
